San Bernardino County Regional Parks invited the community to celebrate the completion of new equestrian amenities at Mojave Narrows Regional Park with a ribbon-cutting ceremony held on Thursday, April 30. To mark the occasion, visitors received free park admission from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., giving them the opportunity to explore the upgraded facilities and enjoy the park.
The project introduced a range of improvements designed to support the equestrian community, including a newly installed barn with horse stalls, storage space for feed and equipment, and updated utility connections. Additional features included new corrals, water troughs, hitching posts, and an enhanced arena area complete with lighting, spectator seating, and a public address system.
Construction on the project began in January 2025 and was funded through the American Rescue Plan Act, with an overall investment of approximately $1.6 million. County officials noted that the upgrades are part of a broader effort to enhance park amenities while preserving the region’s cultural and recreational resources.
Regional Parks leadership shared that the new facilities are expected to create more opportunities for events, programs, and activities centered around horseback riding and outdoor recreation. The improvements also support the County’s ongoing goal of strengthening community spaces and expanding access to outdoor experiences.
