Graduating seniors in Victorville will soon have the opportunity to apply for the Doris Davies Scholarship, a local award designed to support students as they prepare for their next chapter after high school. The scholarship will begin accepting applications on January 30.

Information about the scholarship will be shared with high schools throughout the City of Victorville to ensure eligible students are aware of the opportunity. Seniors who are interested in applying before the February 23 application deadline are encouraged to connect with their school guidance counselors, who can provide application materials and answer questions about the process.

The Doris Davies Scholarship is open to any high school senior who resides in Victorville, regardless of which school they attend. Applicants will be asked to complete a short form through their counselor that includes basic student information such as academic performance, extracurricular activities, anticipated graduation date, and standardized test scores, if available.

In addition to the application form, students must submit a one-page personal essay. This essay should explain their educational goals, future plans, and why they believe they are deserving of the scholarship. The essay allows applicants to share their story, highlight their achievements, and reflect on how the scholarship could help support their academic journey.
