Motorists in the High Desert should plan for temporary lane closures on Mariposa Road between Cottonwood Avenue and Monarch Boulevard due to utility work. Beginning Oct. 11 at 8 p.m. through 4 a.m. on Oct. 12, a contractor will be installing a gas service line at 12349 Mariposa Road.

During the work, northbound lanes 1 and 2 will be closed, while lane 3 remains open. Southbound lane 1 will also be closed in the same area. Drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes, expect delays, and use caution while navigating the work zone. All motorists should obey posted signs and follow directions from traffic control personnel to ensure safety.
