A High Desert athlete is taking his talents to the professional level as Garrett DiGiorgio, a Serrano High School graduate (Class of 2021), has signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent following the 2026 NFL Draft.
While he wasn’t selected during the draft, DiGiorgio quickly earned an opportunity to continue his football career, showing that persistence and performance can still open doors at the next level. His path to the NFL began in the High Desert, where he developed as a standout athlete before continuing his success at UCLA, gaining experience against top collegiate competition.
Now joining the Jaguars organization, DiGiorgio will have the chance to compete for a spot on the roster and prove himself during training camp. Undrafted players often face an uphill battle, but many have gone on to build successful NFL careers, and this opportunity marks an important step forward.
His signing places him among a small group of players from the High Desert who have reached the NFL in recent years. It also reflects the continued growth of local athletics and the ability for student-athletes from the region to compete at the highest levels.
For young athletes across the High Desert, DiGiorgio’s journey serves as a reminder that success doesn’t always follow a straight path. With dedication, resilience, and the right opportunities, reaching the next level is always within reach.
