The gates officially opened on the 2026 San Bernardino County Fair this week as community leaders, fair officials, local businesses, and residents gathered in Victorville for the annual ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the start of one of the High Desert’s biggest traditions.
This year’s fair, themed “May The Fair Be With You,” welcomed guests back to the fairgrounds for another year of carnival rides, entertainment, exhibits, food vendors, livestock competitions, and family-friendly attractions.
The opening ceremony marked the beginning of the fair’s multi-day run and highlighted the event’s long-standing connection to the High Desert community. Now in its 79th year, the San Bernardino County Fair continues to serve as one of the region’s largest annual gatherings, drawing visitors from across the Victor Valley and surrounding areas.
Following the ribbon cutting, attendees explored the fairgrounds as vendors, performers, and exhibitors kicked off opening day activities. Families lined the midway, local organizations showcased exhibits, and fairgoers enjoyed everything from classic fair food to live entertainment throughout the evening.
The San Bernardino County Fair remains a major community tradition that brings together agriculture, local businesses, youth programs, and entertainment in one place each year. Organizers say the event continues to celebrate the spirit and culture of the High Desert while creating lasting memories for generations of families.
The fair runs on select dates through the end of May at the San Bernardino County Fairgrounds in Victorville.
