The Greater High Desert Chamber of Commerce officially ushered in a new year of leadership during its recent State of the Chamber event, where new directors, officers, and board leadership were installed for the 2026-2027 fiscal year.

The annual gathering brought together business leaders, community partners, elected officials, and chamber members to celebrate the organization’s accomplishments and recognize those who will help shape its future. Serving as presenting sponsors for the event were ICR Staffing Services, High Desert Second Chance, and the Office of First District Supervisor Col. Paul Cook, whose support helped make the program possible.

Leading the chamber this year is William Brady of NEXA Lending, who was sworn in as the 2026-2027 Chair of the Board. A longtime High Desert resident and business professional, Brady brings years of financial industry experience and a passion for community involvement to the role.

Joining Brady on the Executive Committee are Gwen Bedics of Global Credit Union as Chair-Elect, Dr. Derek King of Excelsior Charter Schools as Vice Chair, and Stacy DeVoll of DeVoll Rubber MFG Group, Inc. as Immediate Past Chair.

The chamber also installed its 2026-2027 Board of Directors, representing a wide range of industries and organizations from across the High Desert. The board includes leaders from healthcare, education, finance, manufacturing, nonprofit organizations, retail, communications, and workforce development sectors, reflecting the diverse business community served by the chamber.

In addition to the installation ceremony, the event recognized past board chairs and directors for their leadership and contributions. Several chamber members were also honored for milestone anniversaries, including businesses and organizations celebrating 25 and 50 years of membership and commitment to the chamber.

The Greater High Desert Chamber of Commerce continues to serve as a driving force for business advocacy, economic development, and community collaboration throughout Victorville, Apple Valley, Hesperia, Adelanto, and neighboring communities.

As the new leadership team begins its term, chamber officials emphasized their commitment to supporting local businesses, strengthening partnerships, and creating opportunities that contribute to the continued growth and success of the High Desert.

The event served as a reminder that the region’s success is built through collaboration, and the chamber’s new leadership will play an important role in helping guide that progress in the year ahead.
