Local organizations, churches, and volunteers are joining forces to make sure everyone has a chance to enjoy a warm holiday meal and connect with resources that uplift our region.

The Community Health Action Network (CHAN) and The Way Resource Center will host their annual Turkey Giveaway and Gratitude Celebration on Monday, November 17, 2025, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Percy Baker Community Center in Hesperia. Families can pre-register to receive a free Thanksgiving turkey while supplies last. The event celebrates both gratitude and giving, uniting the community ahead of the holiday season. 🦃 The Great Thanksgiving Dinner – November 19, 2025

The Great Thanksgiving Dinner, hosted by High Desert Second Chance and former Mayor Rebekah Swanson, invites the entire community to enjoy a hot Thanksgiving meal and connect with local resources on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.

This event, open to all High Desert residents who register, will feature a free meal and resource fair with support from local sponsors, including High Desert Church, Colonel Paul Cook, Texas Roadhouse, ICR Staffing Services, Steno Design Studio, and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. Attendees can register online to attend, while vendors and volunteers are also encouraged to sign up through the provided links.

🦃 Free Community Thanksgiving Celebration – November 26, 2025

This Thanksgiving, Luxuriouz Roomz Venue is opening its doors and hearts to the community for a warm and welcoming Free Community Thanksgiving Celebration. Families in need and members of the homeless community are invited to enjoy a free home-cooked Thanksgiving lunch and dinner, surrounded by love, gratitude, and togetherness.

Guests will enjoy a festive atmosphere complete with hot meals, aguas frescas, sweet desserts, and plenty of fun for all ages — including kids’ activities, a jumper, family photo booth, raffles, giveaways, and more. Everything is 100% free, but attendees must present a free Eventbrite ticket for entry.
