Team Registration Now Open!
The Mojave Environmental Education Consortium (MEEC) is excited to announce that team registration is now open for the 13th Annual Solar Oven Cook-Off Challenge—a hands-on STEM competition where students harness the power of the sun to cook, create, and compete.
This engaging event invites High Desert students in grades 3–12 to apply their knowledge of science, engineering, and renewable energy by designing and building a solar oven, then preparing an original dish using only solar power.

Teams of 3–6 students design and construct solar cookers

Teams demonstrate performance by preparing original food dishes

Schools from across the Mojave Desert compete

Each school may send up to three teams
