Victorville Launches New Online Pet Licensing and Lost Pet Recovery Program

Jul 2, 2026 | News

Dog owners in Victorville now have a new way to register and protect their pets thanks to the launch of the City’s upgraded pet licensing platform.

The new online system, powered by DocuPet, is designed to simplify the licensing process while adding features that help reunite lost pets with their families. Available around the clock, the platform allows residents to purchase or renew pet licenses, manage pet information, and access licensing services from any device.

One of the program’s key features is a complimentary identification tag provided with every licensed dog. Each tag is linked to a secure online profile, making it easier for anyone who finds a lost pet to quickly connect with its owner. The system also includes access to 24/7 lost pet recovery services, giving owners another resource if their pet goes missing.

In addition to helping recover lost pets, the platform sends automatic renewal reminders to help owners keep their licenses current.

City officials say the new service is part of an ongoing effort to improve customer convenience while supporting responsible pet ownership and public safety throughout the community.

Victorville residents are reminded that all dogs are required to be licensed and vaccinated against rabies. While licensing is optional for cats, city officials encourage cat owners to participate as an added layer of protection should their pet become lost.

Residents who prefer in-person assistance can still receive help through Victorville City Hall or the Animal Care and Adoption Center, while those wishing to register online can do so through the City’s new DocuPet portal.
