The San Bernardino County Public Defender’s Mobile Defense Program is bringing free legal assistance and essential resources directly to Lucerne Valley, offering residents a unique opportunity to access support close to home.
Residents are invited to attend the upcoming Mobile Defense Program Event on Wednesday, April 8, from 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at The River’s Edge Ranch. This free, one-day event is designed to expand access to justice by delivering mobile court services and legal resources directly into the community.
At the event, attendees can receive free legal assistance and expungement services, helping individuals take steps toward clearing their records and moving forward. Mobile court services will also be available for San Bernardino County cases, including assistance with bench warrant requests, modifying misdemeanor summary probation, re-enrolling in court-required classes, and resolving outstanding fines.
In addition to legal services, San Bernardino Superior Court Self-Help staff will be on-site to provide guidance in areas such as family law, child support, guardianship, landlord-tenant matters, and small claims procedures, offering valuable information for individuals navigating complex legal situations.
This event goes beyond legal support by connecting residents with a wide range of county services, creating a one-stop resource for community needs. Participating departments include Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, the Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk’s Office, the Department of Behavioral Health, Child Support Services, Public Health, Human Resources, Transitional Assistance, and Workforce Development. From healthcare and mental health resources to job opportunities and social services, attendees will have access to support that can make a lasting impact.
Pre-registration is encouraged for all services and required for mobile court services, so attendees are urged to sign up in advance to take full advantage of what the event has to offer.
